Nissan Patrol diffs: H233B, H260, ratios, lockers and what actually fails
Every GQ and GU Patrol that rolls into our Burleigh workshop has one of two rear diffs under it, and most owners don't know which. It matters. It decides what ratio you can run, what locker fits, what bearings we order, and whether the whine you're hearing is a $600 fix or a $2,500 one.

Steering wobble fix: GQ and GU Patrol death wobble, and the steering box adjustment
You hit a bump at 80 km/h, the front end starts shaking side to side, and the only thing that stops it is braking hard. That's death wobble, and a GQ or GU Patrol on big tyres and a lift is the most likely 4WD in Australia to do it. It is never one thing. It's two or three worn parts that each would be fine alone.
